The salary ranking, standards for professional titles of equipment and experimental officers inv n are prescribed in Circular 21/2022/TT-BGDDT (effective from February 12, 2023) as follows:

1. Guidelines for salary ranking of equipment and experimental officers in Vietnam

- Officials appointed to the professional title of equipment officer, experiment code V.07.07.20 may apply the A0 salary table in Table 3 (professional and professional salary list for cadres and public employees in non-business units of the State) promulgated together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP.

- The salary change for the case when recruiting and appointing a civil servant or other specialized public employee to the title of equipment and testing officer shall be done as follows:

+ If a civil servant's or public employee's salary is ranked A0 in Table 2 (the professional and professional salary list for cadres and civil servants in state agencies), or Table 3 (professional and professional salary table for officials and public employees in non-business units of the State) promulgated together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP, the salary of public employees shall be graded A0;

+ Civil servants, public employees of grade A1 or higher, or grade B, shall have their salaries reclassified in accordance with the guidance in Clause 1, Section II of Circular 02/2007/TT-BNV.

2. Standards for professional titles of equipment and laboratory officers in Vietnam

- Mission:

+ Managing, maintaining, and using equipment; keeping and using equipment records; repairing simple devices;

+ Planning to use, purchase, and repair school equipment; reporting and proposing to the school principal a plan to liquidate and destroy damaged or expired equipment and chemicals;

+ Making periodic and regular reports on equipment and experimental work;

+ Presiding over thematic activities on equipment and experiments at school;

+ Presiding over the exploitation of device management application software;

+ Presiding over the organization of making teaching aids and simple equipment with materials that are easily available in the locality;

+ Coordinating with teachers to prepare necessary equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical exercises and experiments; ensuring conditions for safety, fire, and explosion prevention during practice and experiment;

+ Coordinating in organizing and evaluating students' science and technology competitions related to experiments at the school level or higher;

+ Completing training programs; self-study, self-improvement, and professional capacity improvement;

+ Performing other duties assigned by the principal.

- Standards of professional ethics:

+ Complying with the guidelines and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State and regulations of the industry;

+ Integrity, objectivity, moral compass, and a strong sense of responsibilityPreserving the quality, honor, and prestige of public employees; uniting to help colleagues and students;

+ Performing duties in accordance with regulations, professional and technical processes, and other provisions of law.

- Standards of training and retraining qualifications:

+ Possessing a college degree or higher majoring in school equipment technology (or having a college diploma or higher in other majors relevant to the position of equipment and laboratory work in high school);

+ Completing the training program according to the standards of professional titles of equipment and experiment officers as prescribed.

- Standards of professional competence:

+ Understanding and applying the guidelines and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State, regulations and requirements of the industry for the educational level in the field of work;

+ Effectively implementing the school's educational plan;

+ Having ability to manage, use, and maintain equipment; fire prevention and fighting in case of fire and explosion during practice and experimentation;

+ Being capable of repairing, making, and coordinating with teachers, students, and parents to make simple teaching aids and equipment;

+ Having ability to flexibly apply, coordinate, and support teachers to effectively use equipment and experiments in teaching practice for students;

+ Having ability to apply information technology in professional activities.
