Guidelines for Political Theory Training for Party Admission Candidates

Candidates for the training program must have at least a secondary school education

Including two types of candidates:

- Learners: Those who have a desire to join the Party, voluntarily wish to join the Party, are trusted and introduced to be trained for consideration of Party membership.- Training candidates: Those with at least a secondary school education. Ethnic minorities, border, and island residents may be adapted according to local practical conditions.

Program Content

The content of the political theory training program consists of 05 lessons, compiled by the Central Propaganda Department, specifically as follows:

- Lesson 1: Overview of the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam- Lesson 2: Platform for building the country during the transitional period to socialism- Lesson 3: Basic content of the Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam- Lesson 4: Learning and following the ideology, style, and ethics of Ho Chi Minh- Lesson 5: Striving to become a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

In addition to the 05 lessons mentioned above, depending on the candidates, requirements, and conditions of the locality, the institution may include topics such as:

- The situation and tasks of the locality, institution;- Current events, new policies, and directives...- Reports on the process of striving to become a Party member by newly admitted members.

Total teaching time is 05 days

- Teaching 05 lessons according to the program content, each lesson for 1 session, except Lesson 2 which will be taught in 2 sessions, totaling 3 days.- Discussions and exchanges: 0.5 days- Field trips and supplementary reports: 0.5 days- Systematization and Q&A: 0.5 days- Writing post-assessment, conclusions: 0.5 days

Reference materials:

- Platform for building the country during the transitional period to socialism;- Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam;- Thematic study on Learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, style, and ethics in the period of 2016 – 2020;- Directive 05-CT/TW of the Central Executive Committee issued on May 15, 2016.

In addition to the above contents, Guide 10-HD/BTGTW also provides guidance on necessary points when teaching lessons in the political theory training program for students in the introductory Party membership class.
