From July 1, 2019, the monthly allowance rate for elderly and retired commune-level officials will be adjusted, increasing by 7.19% from the monthly allowance rate as of June 2019. Specifically:
- Formula for adjusting the monthly allowance rate from July 1, 2019:
Monthly allowance rate from July 1, 2019 = Monthly allowance rate as of June 2019 x 1.0719
- The monthly allowance rate from July 1, 2019, for elderly and retired commune-level officials is as follows:
+ For officials who were former Communist Party Secretaries and Chairpersons of the Commune People's Committee: 1,974,000 VND/month x 1.0719 = 2,116,000 VND/month.
+ For officials who were former Deputy Secretaries, Vice Chairpersons, Permanent Members of the Communist Party Committee, Secretaries of the Commune People's Committee, Secretaries of the Commune People's Council, Commune Militia Commanders, and Commune Police Chiefs: 1,910,000 VND/month x 1.0719 = 2,047,300 VND/month.
+ For other positions: 1,768,000 x 1.0719 = 1,895,100 VND/month.
This provision applies to commune, ward, and commune-level town officials who have retired and receive a monthly allowance according to Decision 130-CP dated June 20, 1975, and Decision 111-HDBT dated October 13, 1981.
