- Strictly implement the policies, guidelines of the Communist Party, the laws of the State, and the regulations of the public security sector in combating and handling criminals and legal violations.
- Be resolute, resourceful, brave, and clever in carrying out duties; handle violations objectively and truthfully, ensuring political, legal, and professional requirements.
- When interacting with law-breaking subjects, People's Public Security Forces in Vietnam officers and soldiers must maintain proper posture, etiquette, and behavior; have a proper attitude, without insulting or discriminating against violators.
- Do not misuse the assigned functions and duties to distort case files, leading to escaping criminals, wrongful convictions, or for personal gain.

- Strictly implement the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party, laws of the State, and rules of the public security sector concerning contact, relationships, and work with foreign organizations and individuals, and regarding foreign policy and international cooperation.

- Avoid words and actions that harm the interests, image of the country, and the people of Vietnam; the traditions, honor, and reputation of the Vietnam Public Security Forces (People's Public Security Forces in Vietnam).

- Encourage and mobilize people to strictly comply with the regulations at their place of residence. Actively cooperate in crime prevention, combating violations of the law, and social evils.
- Do not misuse the influence of the position and job to improperly interfere in local activities at the place of residence.

- When communicating over the phone, People's Public Security Forces in Vietnam officers and soldiers must state their name, title, unit, and provide clear, complete information; use civilized, polite, concise, and understandable language; do not exchange confidential information over the phone.
- When using the internet, People's Public Security Forces in Vietnam officers and soldiers must not access, store, disseminate, comment on, or share online information, materials, articles, and images that are contrary to traditional customs; contrary to the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party, the laws of the State, and the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security; and must not introduce or use the name, images, and insignia of the police unit on social networks.
