Law on Anti-corruption was passed by the National Assembly on November 20, 2018, and took effect from July 1, 2019. One notable new point of this Law is the regulation on the public disclosure of asset declarations by those who are obligated to declare.

To be specific, according to the provisions of Article 39 of the 2018 Anti-Corruption Law, the location for public disclosure of asset and income declarations will vary depending on the declarant, as follows:
- The declaration of individuals required to declare must be disclosed at the office, organization, or unit where that individual regularly works.
- For those expected to be appointed to leadership or managerial positions at offices, organizations, or units, the declaration must be disclosed at the meeting for confidence voting.
- For candidates for the National Assembly or People's Council, the declaration must be disclosed in accordance with the provisions of election laws.
- For individuals expected to be elected or ratified by the National Assembly or People's Council, the declaration must be disclosed to the National Assembly or People's Council members prior to election or ratification. The timing and form of disclosure are to be implemented in accordance with regulations set forth by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly.
- For those expected to be elected to leadership or managerial positions in state-owned enterprises, the declaration must be disclosed at the meeting for confidence voting during the appointment process or at the meeting of the Board of Members during the election to leadership or managerial positions.
Thus, it can be understood that individuals working regularly at an office or unit will have their declarations disclosed at that office or unit. For specific cases such as those expected to be appointed to leadership or managerial positions or candidates for the National Assembly, public disclosure will follow the specific regulations of each case.
Moreover, to ensure that this declaration adheres to the principles of accuracy, clarity, completeness, and promptness as regulated in Clause 2 Article 9 of the 2018 Anti-Corruption Law, the National Assembly has stipulated strict measures such as salary reduction, demotion, dismissal, forced resignation, or removal from office..., in cases of untruthful asset and income declarations.
