The Law on Public Employees issued by the National Assembly of Vietnam on November 15, 2010, and effective from January 1, 2012, marks an important milestone signifying a new trend in the legal regulation of public employees within public service providers - performing public services, significantly impacting 1.6 million workers (of which up to 80% are public education employees) currently working in nearly 52,000 public service providers.
