Vietnam: Circular No. 39/2018/TT-BYT regulates new regulations on prices of medical examination and treatment services

The Ministry of Health of Vietnam officially approved Circular No. 39/2018/TT-BYT unifying prices of medical examination and treatment services covered by medical insurance among hospitals across the country and guidelines for applying prices and payment for medical services in certain cases, which replaces Circular No. 15/2018/TT-BYT.

Circular No. 39/2018/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam officially takes effect from January 15, 2019. The medical service prices in the following Appendixes (according to the statutory pay rate prescribed in Decree No. 72/2018/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government) shall be applied from December 15, 2018.
