Latest Update on Procedures for Reporting Occupational Accidents

From May 24, 2017, administrative procedures (AP) in the field of occupational safety and hygiene under the management of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will be implemented according to the contents attached to Decision 748/QD-LDTBXH. Including the following APs:

- Approve the plan to handle technical incidents causing serious occupational safety and hygiene issues;- Report occupational accidents;- Submit the investigation record of occupational accidents by the grassroots-level occupational accident investigation team;- Provide dossiers and documents related to occupational accidents for Vietnamese workers working abroad;- Report the occupational accidents of the employer;- Report technical incidents that cause serious occupational safety and hygiene issues;- Report the occupational safety and hygiene work of the employer.

Also according to Decision 748/QD-LDTBXH, starting from May 24, 2017, the following 03 administrative procedures will be abolished:

- Submit the investigation record of occupational accidents and the minutes of the meeting to announce the investigation of occupational accidents to the Inspectorate of the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, the insurance agency of the province/city under the Central Government, and the direct superior management agency (if any);- Submit the summary report on the situation of occupational accidents;- Report the occupational safety and hygiene work.
