Allowances and benefits for persons with meritorious services in Vietnam proposed to increase?

The Ministry of Labor – War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam is drafting a Decree stipulating the levels of allowances and benefits for people with meritorious services to the revolution in Vietnam to replace Decree 20/2015/ND-CP.

The Ministry proposes to raise the standard level for determining the level of subsidies and preferential allowances for persons with meritorious service to the revolution from 1,318,000 VND to 1,417,000 VND.

Attached to the Decree are the appendices:

- Appendix I: Level of subsidies and preferential allowances for persons with meritorious service to the revolution;

- Appendix II: Level of injury benefits for war invalids and persons entitled to policies like war invalids;

- Appendix III: Level of injury benefits for type B war invalids.

These levels of subsidies and allowances are to be implemented from July 01, 2017.

Below are some levels of subsidies and preferential allowances for persons with meritorious service to the revolution, the level of allowances, and subsidies for certain beneficiaries of meritorious services:

War invalids and individuals entitled to policies similar to war invalids are proposed to receive injury benefits ranging from 955,000 VND/month to 4,543,000 VND/month depending on the rate of reduction in working capacity. Type B war invalids are proposed to receive injury benefits ranging from 788,000 VND/month to 3,759,000 VND/month depending on the extent of their injuries.

Details on the injury benefits for war invalids, persons entitled to policies similar to war invalids, and injury benefits for type B war invalids can be viewed in the Draft Decree stipulating the level of subsidies and preferential allowances for persons with meritorious service to the revolution.
