All functions of the digital social insurance application (VssID) in Vietnam​ (Illustrative image)

Participants in social insurance (SI), health insurance (HI) can access information, perform public services conveniently, easily, and quickly through the functions of the Social Insurance Number (VssID) application in Vietnam as guided in Official Dispatch 3717/BHXH-CNTT:

1. Guide to logging into the application

Enter the account (social insurance number) and password in the corresponding fields to log in to the application.

2. Guide to changing password

Users should change their password upon first login to protect personal information.

Step 1. Select

Step 2. Select Change Password

Step 3. Enter the old password, new password, and re-enter the new password

Step 4. Select Complete. The system will send a verification OTP code to the phone number that the user has registered for electronic transactions with the social insurance agency to validate the password change.

3. Personal Management function

The Personal Management function displays the user's personal agency information such as:

- Social insurance number

- Full name

- Date of birth

- ID/Citizen Identification Card/Passport

- Phone number and address along with other functions of the VssID application.

4. Health Insurance Card function

Step 1. Select Personal Management

Step 2. Select Health Insurance Card, the screen will display basic information as shown below

Step 3. Click on “View Health Insurance Card”, the screen will display as shown below (you can choose to rotate the HI card for easier viewing):

Note: The application only allows one account to log in on one device at a time. When logging in to a second device, the application will warn, if the user chooses to continue logging into the second device, the application will request an OTP code sent to the phone number the user registered earlier, and simultaneously, the account will be logged out from the first device.

5. Search for the insurance participation process

The Insurance Participation Process function provides information on the participation process of Social Insurance, Unemployment Insurance, Labor Accident Insurance, occupational disease, and Health Insurance of each user. Users can see detailed participation processes such as: Time, Unit, Job, position, payment amount.

6. Search for benefit information

The Benefit Information function provides all social insurance policies that the user has benefited from such as: One-time social insurance benefits; Sickness, maternity, and health recovery benefits; Monthly social insurance benefits; Unemployment insurance benefits.

7. Medical examination book function

The Medical Examination Book function provides all medical examination and treatment information covered by health insurance for users by each year.

=> The above applications are for social insurance participants who have registered for individual electronic transactions with the social insurance agency.

In case users do not have an individual electronic transaction account with the social insurance agency, they can only use some available utilities provided by Vietnam Social Security such as:

(1) Find Social Insurance number: Provides search methods for each individual's Social Insurance number.

(2) View news: Provides information related to Vietnam Social Security sector activities.

(3) Online search: Provides online search utilities such as:

- Search for social insurance number; Search for social insurance agencies;- Search for CSKCB issuing leave certificates for social insurance benefits;- Search for contracted health examination and treatment facilities for HI;- Search for units participating in social insurance;- Search for collection points, collection agents.

(4) Support: Provides support methods such as:

- CHAT BOT: Work with the virtual assistant of Vietnam Social Security, where you can ask questions, and the system will automatically answer.

- Call center: Connect with the support call center of Vietnam Social Security

- Email: Connect to send emails to Vietnam Social Security

- FAQs: Provides frequently asked questions and answers to common issues.

- Feedback and suggestions: Submit feedback and suggestions to the social insurance agency.

(5) Search for social insurance agencies: Supports searching for information about social insurance agencies (including location maps).

Therefore, to use all functions of the Social Insurance Number (VssID) application, users need to register for individual electronic transactions with the social insurance agency.
