Vietnam: Deadlines for appraisal of construction design deployed after the basic design of MND

On August 6, 2021, the Minister of National Defense of Vietnam issued Circular 106/2021/TT-BQP regulations on appraisal and approval of construction designs to be implemented after basic designs of the Ministry of National Defense.

According to Vietnam's Circular 106/2021/TT-BQP, the time limit for appraisal is counted from the date the agency in charge of appraisal receives a complete application, to the date on which the appraisal result is available.

Specifically, the appraisal deadline is as follows:

- No more than 40 working days for tasks of special grade, grade I;

- No more than 30 working days for tasks of grade II and grade III;

- No more than 20 working days for the remaining tasks.

Within 05 working days from the date of commencement of appraisal, depending on the nature of the work, the specialized construction agency shall consider and collect comments from relevant agencies in Vietnam (if any).

Vietnam's Circular 106/2021/TT-BQP takes effect from September 20, 2021.
