Hanoi: The Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training announces pupils' returning to school in March and postponing the schedule for holding the 2020 National High School Exam

Recently, the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch 509/BGDDT-GDTrH regarding the adjustment of the timeframe for the 2019-2020 academic year, addressed to the Chairpersons of the People's Committees of provinces and municipalities.

The Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training adjusts the timeframe for the 2019 – 2020 academic year as follows:

- Pupils' returning to school will resume from March 2, 2020;

- The academic year will end before June 30, 2020;

- The national high school exam will be held from July 23 to July 26, 2020.

Based on the abovementioned timeframe, localities shall actively implement the educational plan for the 2019 – 2020 academic year under their local COVID-19 epidemic control.

In cases where localities decide to have pupils' returning to school later, they must adjust the makeup lesson plans on the adjusted timeframe for the 2019 – 2020 academic year stipulated by the Ministry to ensure the implementation of the educational program, timely completion of the academic year, and national high school exam in alignment with the rest of the country.
