The Authority to Impose Penalties of the Chairman of the District People's Committee in Counterfeit Goods Trading Activities
Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 81 of Decree 98/2020/ND-CP, the provisions are as follows:
- The Chairman of the District People’s Committee has the authority:
a) To issue a warning;
b) To impose fines up to 50,000,000 VND for individuals and fines up to 100,000,000 VND for organizations;
c) To revoke licenses, or professional practice certificates for a fixed period, or suspend activities for a fixed period;
d) To confiscate tools, means of administrative violations with a value not exceeding the fine amount prescribed at point b of this clause;
e) To apply remedial measures stipulated at points b, c, d, e, g, h, i, and k, clause 3, Article 4 of this Decree.
The above regulations pertain to the authority of the Chairman of the District People’s Committee to impose penalties for counterfeit goods trading according to the law.
