Does a Law Graduate Receive a Certificate for Practicing Industrial Property Representation Services?

Clause 2 of Article 155 of the Intellectual Property Law of 2005 stipulates the conditions for being granted a certificate of practicing industrial property representation services, which include:

- Being a Vietnamese citizen, fully capable of civil acts;

- Permanently residing in Vietnam;

- Having a university degree;

- Having directly engaged in industrial property legal work continuously for five years or more, or having directly engaged in the assessment of various types of industrial property registration applications at national or international industrial property bodies continuously for five years or more, or having graduated from a training course in industrial property law recognized by a competent authority;

- Not being officials and public employees currently working at state agencies with authority to establish and ensure the enforcement of industrial property rights;

- Having met the requirements at the examination on industrial property representation organized by the competent authority.

Thus, if you graduate with a law degree and fulfill all the conditions mentioned above, you will be granted a certificate of practicing industrial property representation services.
