Is Driving a Sleeper Bus Allowed at the Age of 57?
According to Clause 1, Article 60 of the 2008 Road Traffic Law regarding the age and health of drivers, the provisions are as follows:
The age of drivers is specified as follows:
- Persons aged 16 years and older are allowed to drive motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of less than 50 cm3;
...
- Persons aged 24 years and older are allowed to drive passenger cars with 10 to 30 seats; drive class C vehicles towing trailers or semi-trailers (FC);
- Persons aged 27 years and older are allowed to drive passenger cars with more than 30 seats; drive class D vehicles towing trailers (FD);
- The maximum age of a driver operating passenger cars with more than 30 seats is 50 years old for females and 55 years old for males.
Thus, for drivers of passenger cars with more than 30 seats, the maximum age is 55 years old for males. Therefore, your father, being 57 years old, is not allowed to drive a 40-seat sleeper bus to avoid potential traffic risks.
