What are conditions for a lecturer to be recognized as an excellent teacher in pedagogy in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 15 of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy issued with Decision 2777/QD-BGDDT in 2022 stipulating conditions for a lecturer to be recognized as an excellent teacher in pedagogy in Vietnam as follows:

1. Being a member of the competition team, participating in at least 01 content of the team competition.

2. Having a combined score of exam results specified at Point b, Clause 5, Article 14 of 8.0 or higher, of which no test score is below 6.0;

3. Not violating the provisions of this Charter and other current regulations of law during the Competition period; Not during the time the competent authorities settle complaints and denunciations related to their participation in the Competition in accordance with the law (if any).

What are regulations on ranking the results of the contest and the awards of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 16 of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy issued with Decision 2777/QD-BGDDT in 2022 stipulating regulations on ranking the results of the contest and the awards of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy in Vietnam as follows:

1. The ranking of competition results of lecturers, teams participating in the competition and prizes of the Competition shall be specified by the Organizing Committee.

2. The ranking of contest results of lecturers is only done for lecturers who are qualified to be recognized as having achieved the title of excellent teacher in pedagogy and based on the following criteria:

a) Summary score of the exam results of the participating lecturers;

b) Other criteria as prescribed by the Organizing Committee.

3. Ranking the results of the teams participating in the Competition according to the following criteria:

a) The number of lecturers of the team participating in the competition eligible to be recognized as a lecturer who has won the title of excellent teacher in pedagogy;

b) Number of lecturers of the team participating in the Competition and winning the Competition's prize (calculated by each type of prize, ranked from highest to lowest);

c) The average of the total score of the team participating in the Competition;

d) The observance of the regulations of the Organizing Committee and other provisions of law during the time of the Competition by the members of the competition team;

d) Other criteria as prescribed by the Organizing Committee.

4. How to rank

a) From the test scores in each section, calculate the collective solution;

b) Place the first, second, third and consolation prizes according to the competition block corresponding to the number of prizes of each block. In the case of equal points, the contestant that has the most prizes in the above-ranked contests, if still equal in points, will count the second, third or lot.

5. Prizes of the Contest include:

a) Individual prizes: Based on the ranking of the competition results of the participating lecturers and other criteria prescribed by the Organizing Committee;

b) Collective prize: Based on the ranking of the participation results of the delegation participating in the competition and other criteria prescribed by the Organizing Committee;

c) Other prizes decided by the Organizing Committee or proposed by the competent authority.

How to grant and revoke certificates of lecturers who have achieved the title of excellent teacher in pedagogy in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 17 of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy issued with Decision 2777/QD-BGDDT in 2022 stipulating regulations on granting and revoking certificates of lecturers who have achieved the title of excellent teacher in pedagogy in Vietnam as follows:

1. Lecturers participating in the Competition must ensure the conditions specified in Article 15 of this Charter to be granted a certificate by the competent agency organizing the Competition for achieving the title of excellent teacher in pedagogy on the basis of proposal of the Competition Organizing Committee.

2. The agency competent to issue the certificate of a lecturer winning the title of excellent teacher in pedagogy (hereinafter referred to as the certificate) has the right to revoke the certificate granted to the participating lecturer in the following cases: The lecturer who is concluded by the competent authority is not eligible to be recognized for the title of good teacher in pedagogy at the Competition.
