Conditions to be an Excellent Student (Newest)
Based on Clause 1, Article 13 of the Regulation on Evaluation and Classification of Secondary School and High School Students issued together with Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT and Clause 6, Article 2 of Circular 26/2020/TT-BGDDT, which stipulate the standards for semester classification and annual classification, as follows:
Excellent classification, if meeting the following criteria:
a) The average score of all subjects is 8.0 or higher, in which the average score of one of the three subjects: Mathematics, Literature, or Foreign Language is 8.0 or higher; specifically, for specialized class students of specialized high schools, an additional condition is required that the average score of the specialized subject is 8.0 or higher;
b) No subject has an average score below 6.5;
c) Subjects evaluated by feedback reach the D type.

Therefore, if a student wishes to achieve excellent classification for the entire year, they must meet all the following conditions:
+ The average score of all subjects is 8.0 or higher;
+ Mathematics, Literature, or Foreign Language has at least one subject with a score of 8.0 or higher;
+ No subject has an average score below 6.5;
+ Subjects evaluated by feedback reach the D type.
Note: In the case of specialized class students of specialized high schools, an additional condition is required that the average score of the specialized subject is 8.0 or higher.
