How Many Times Can the Investigation Period for a Competition-Restrictive Case be Extended?

Pursuant to Clauses 1 and 4, Article 81 of the Competition Law 2018, it is stipulated:

The time limit for investigating anti-competitive cases is 09 months from the date of the decision to investigate.

For complex cases, the investigation period may be extended once but not exceeding 03 months.

The extension of the investigation must be notified to the investigated party and relevant parties no later than 07 working days before the end of the investigation period.

Thus, according to the regulations, for complex anti-competitive cases, an extension may be granted; however, it can only be extended once and not exceeding 03 months. The extension must be notified no later than 07 working days before the end of the investigation period.
