Based on Section II.1 of the Training Program according to the standard for the professional title of university lecturer issued with Decision 1079/QD-BGDDT in 2022, the general objectives are as follows:

Equip trainees with knowledge, skills, and methods to perform tasks in the professional activities of teaching staff in higher education institutions; contribute to building a team of university teaching staff that meets the professional title standards for teaching staff in higher education institutions (hereinafter referred to as university lecturers) in response to the development requirements of higher education institutions and science and technology.

Regulations on specific training goals in the program of training according to the standard of university lecturer professional title in Vietnam

Based on Section II.2 of the Training Program according to the standard for the professional title of university lecturer issued with Decision 1079/QD-BGDDT in 2022, the specific objectives are as follows:

After completing the training course, trainees can:

a) Analyze the basic points of the political system, the state administrative apparatus, and the education system of Vietnam. Apply the Party's and State's policies, laws in the field of education in general and higher education in particular to the implementation process;

b) Update the trends in the development of higher education in the world, strategies, policies, and regulations on the development of higher education in Vietnam in the current context; update the basic knowledge of university education and the development of training programs.

c) Apply and improve basic skills to perform teaching, scientific research, and other tasks of a university lecturer;

d) Understand the role, position, responsibilities, and importance of professional development, some professional skills in the new context for each university lecturer in response to the requirements of improving the quality of training, being proactive and confident in professional activities;

e) Apply the knowledge of specialization, profession to perform tasks appropriate to the professional title of university lecturer as prescribed in Circular No. 40/2020/TT-BGDDT dated October 26, 2020, of the Minister of Education and Training, which regulates codes, professional title standards, appointment, and salary ranking for teaching staff in public higher education institutions and Circular No. 04/2022/TT-BGDDT dated March 4, 2022, of the Minister of Education and Training, which amends and supplements some provisions of Circular No. 35/2020/TT-BGDDT dated October 1, 2020, of the Minister of Education and Training, which regulates codes, professional title standards, appointment, and salary ranking for teaching staff in public pedagogical colleges; Circular No. 40/2020/TT-BGDDT dated October 26, 2020, of the Minister of Education and Training, which regulates codes, professional title standards, appointment, and salary ranking for teaching staff in public higher education institutions.
