Position and Function of Mobile Police
Pursuant to Article 3 of the Mobile Police Law 2022 (effective from January 1, 2023), the position and function of the Mobile Police are stipulated as follows:
The Mobile Police is the armed force of the People's Public Security of Vietnam, serving as the core force implementing armed measures to protect national security, ensure public order, and social safety.
Principles of Operation of the Mobile Police
Pursuant to Article 4 of this Law, the principles of operation of the Mobile Police are stipulated as follows:
Subject to the absolute and direct leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the command of the President, the unified state management of the Government of Vietnam, and the direct direction, command, and administration of the Minister of Public Security.
Comply with the Constitution, laws of Vietnam, and international treaties to which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a signatory.
Rely on the people, promote the strength of the people, and be subject to the supervision of the people; protect the interests of the State, and the lawful rights and interests of agencies, organizations, and individuals in accordance with the law.
Closely combine armed measures with other operational measures of the People's Public Security forces in performing assigned functions and tasks.
Ensure centralized and unified direction and command from central to local levels.
