Tasks and powers of the Office of the Provincial People's Committee are stipulated in Clause 9, Article 1 of Decree 107/2020/ND-CP. To be specific:
Advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee regarding: programs, work plans of the People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; administrative procedure control; organizing and implementing the one-stop-shop and inter-agency one-stop-shop mechanisms in resolving administrative procedures under local authority; organizing, managing, and announcing official information on activities of the People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; serving as the main point for the electronic information portal, connecting the electronic administrative information system to facilitate the leadership, direction, and administration of the People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; managing the official gazette and supporting the general activities of the Provincial People's Committee; assisting the Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee in performing their duties and exercising their powers according to their authority; managing internal administration duties of the Office.
In cases where the Department of Foreign Affairs or the Ethnic Affairs Committee is not separately organized, the function of advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management regarding foreign affairs and ethnic affairs shall be undertaken by the Office of the People's Committee.
