Classification of Health Conditions for Non-commissioned Officers and Soldiers
Article 6 of Circular 37/2021/TT-BQP (Effective from May 29, 2021) stipulates the health classification for non-commissioned officers and soldiers as follows:
Health for non-commissioned officers and soldiers is divided into three categories:
- Category 1 Health must meet the following three factors:+ Body Mass Index level 1;+ No diseases or mild diseases level 1;+ Sick leave days in a year not exceeding 15 days.
- Category 2 Health when having one of the factors:+ Body Mass Index level 2;+ Having diseases level 2 or mild but stabilized diseases;+ Normal work capacity, sick leave days in a year from 16 to 30 days, or physical training test results meet the requirements.
- Category 3 Health when having one of the factors:+ Body Mass Index level 3 or level 4;+ Having diseases level 3 or level 4, or severe diseases with complications, sequelae affecting functions that need monitoring and treatment;+ Significantly reduced work capacity: sick leave days in a year over 30 days, physical training test results do not meet the requirements; or a reduction in labor capacity of 61% or more, necessitating discharge as per the Ministry of Defense regulations.
