Can a 55-year-old still be considered for promotion to the rank of Major General?
Clause 4, Article 22 of the People's Public Security Law 2018 provides regulations on the subjects, conditions, and duration for consideration of rank promotion for officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the People's Public Security, as follows:
The age of officers considered for rank promotion from Colonel to Major General shall not exceed 57; higher in cases as required by the President's decision.
According to the regulation, when considering promotion from Colonel to Major General, the officer's age shall not exceed 57 years. Therefore, an officer who is 55 years old is still within the age range to be considered for the rank promotion to Major General as specified above.
Sincerely!
