Vietnam's criteria for telecommunications and Internet services of new rural communes

Recently, the Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam issued Decision 1127/QĐ-BTTTT on the national set of criteria for new rural communes and the national set of criteria for enhanced new rural communes were announced for the 2021-2025 period.

According to Decision, the conditions for new rural commune in Vietnam to meet the Vietnam's criteria for telecommunications and Internet services are prescribed as follows:

- All villages in the commune in Vietnam are capable of meeting the demand for at least one of two types of services:

+ Telephones on the terrestrial fixed telecommunications network or on the terrestrial mobile telecommunications network.

+ At least one of two types of Internet access services: on the terrestrial fixed broadband network or on the terrestrial mobile broadband network.

- Telecommunications and Internet services in communes must meet Vietnam's technical regulations promulgated by competent agencies in Vietnam.
