Time limit for revocation of the travel service business license to be shortened in Vietnam

On November 30, 2021, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam issued Circular 13/2021/TT-BVHTTDL amending and supplementing a number of articles of a href="https://lawnet.vn/vb/thong-tu-06-2017-tt-bvhttdl-huong-dan-chi-tiet-luat-du-lich-5b11f.html" class="green-text " target="_blank" >Circular 06/2017/TT-BVHTTDL detailing a number of articles of the Law on Tourism.

According to the Circular in Vietnam, the time limit for revocation of the travel service business license is shortened as follows:

- Within 5 business days from the day on which an inspection conclusion is issued by the competent authority, the licensing authority shall issue a decision on revocation of the license for provision of travel services.

(Compared with the previous regulations, the time limit for revocation of the travel service business license has been shortened from 15 days to 5 days).

- The decision shall be issued to the provider, inspecting authority, immigration authority, tax authority and business registration authority of the province where the provider is headquartered, and published on the web portal of the licensing authority and travel service provider management website.

In addition, the time to return the deposit after revoking the travel service business license is also shortened from 60 days to 30 days.
