New regulations on organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam

Below is the content specified in the Decree68/2022/ND-CPSeptember 22, 2022 on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam.

According to Vietnam's Decree 68/2022/ND-CP, the organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment consists of 27 units and is divided into the following groups:

- Administrative organization to assist the Minister in performing the state management function (22 units): Financial planning services; Science and Technology Department; Legal Services; Staff Organization; Land Department; Environment Department;...

- Non-business units serving the state management function of the ministry (5 units): The Institute for Natural Resources and Environment Strategies and Policies, Natural Resources and Environment newspaper, Natural Resources and Environment journal,...

If compared to the current one, dissolve the following 02 general departments and 1 case:

- Dissolution of the "The Vietnam General Department of Geology and Minerals" and establishment of 2 new departments: the Department of Geology of Vietnam and the Department of Minerals of Vietnam.

- Dissolution of the "Vietnam Administration of Sea and Islands" and the new establishment of the "Vietnam Department of Seas and Islands".

- Dissolution of "The Department of Emulation, Commendation and Public Information".

Vietnam's Decree 68/2022/ND-CP takes effect from November 1, 2022 and replaces Vietnam's Decree 36/2017/ND-CP.
