New point in the registration of passengers from the mainland to the island in Vietnam

Circular 08/2022/TT-BGTVT dated 16/6/2022 amending the Circulars on regulations related to business activities in the maritime sector in Vietnam issued by the Minister of Transport.

According to this Circular, in the registration of passengers from the mainland to the island, there is a new point in the form of sending written approval to organizations and individuals transporting passengers on fixed routes in Vietnam.

Specifically, no later than 05 working days after receiving the complete dossier as prescribed, the regional maritime port shall consider:

- If the dossier is complete as prescribed, the written approval shall be sent in person or by post or online via the online public service system to organizations and individuals in Vietnam who transport passengers on fixed routes.

(Compared to before, specific forms of sending written consent include: in person, by post, online in Vietnam)

- In case the dossier is missing or invalid, return the dossier and reply clearly stating the reason.

Circular 08/2022 /TT-BGTVT takes effect from June 16, 2022.
