Pilot reduction in concentrated isolation period in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam

Official Dispatch 10606/BYT-KCB issued on 14/12/2021 by Ministry of Health of Vietnam stipulates the pilot reduction in the concentrated isolation period.

According to the Ministry of Health, as the COVID-19 epidemic situation in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam is still complicated, in order to adapt to the new situation and ensure safety and flexibility in accordance with local conditions and resources, the Ministry of Health requests the Department of Health, based on the level of the epidemic and response capacity, to pilot the reduction in the concentrated isolation period to 07 days for F0 cases that have had no clinical symptoms, have been fully vaccinated and received negative test results on the 7th day of the isolation period

At the end of the period of isolation at the receiving treatment facilities, it is recommended that health follow-up monitoring at home is required according to the provisions of Section VII. Hospital discharge and infection prevention instructions stated in the Guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 issued under Decision No. 4689/QD-BYT dated October 6, 2021 of the Ministry of Health should be followed

Previously, on November 18, 2021, the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 8645/SYT-NVY to the Ministry of Health requesting the pilot reduction in the concentrated isolation period to 7 days for F0 that have had no clinical symptoms, have been fully vaccinated and received negative test results on the 7th day of the isolation period.

Official Dispatch 10606/BYT-KCB was issued on December 14, 2021.
