Specifically, according to the process of controlling the COVID-19 epidemic at educational institutions issued together with Official Letter 548/UBND-VX , the handling scenario for cases where many F0s are detected at the educational institution are as follows:

If on the same day, the class detects  02 F0  or more, the educational institution's Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control shall base on the results of the epidemiological investigation to decide on the next form of study for the remaining students. back in class.

If on the same day, the educational institution detects that  02  classes have F0  or higher, the district-level Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control shall base on the results of epidemiological investigation to decide on the next form of schooling.

Thus, in the event that a class detects 2 F0 or more, the school's Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control can decide whether or not that class will continue with its direct learning and teaching plan.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also guides the handling process when detecting cases (F0) at educational institutions, specifically:

Step 1. Immediately notify the commune health station

The principal/Steering Committee/Safety Team for COVID-19 prevention and control of the educational institution shall immediately notify the health station of the ward, commune, town (commune level) or the medical facility that has been assigned the task of distributing Publicly support schools in the prevention and control of COVID-19 (referred to as medical facilities) for handling.

Step 2. Handling the case F0

The commune health station or medical facility assesses F0's health status and home isolation conditions, if eligible for home isolation, advises and guides parents/guardians to bring students home. house to be approached by the local health station for treatment according to regulations. If not eligible for home isolation, transfer F0 for isolation at a COVID-19 collection and treatment facility.

Step 3. Identify and handle close contacts (F1)

The school health officer or the teacher of the educational institution is responsible for making a list and providing epidemiological information to the commune health station or medical facility to identify F1 cases.

Commune-level health stations or medical facilities in collaboration with educational institutions organize rapid testing for antigens of pooled samples (collected samples of no more than 3 people) for all F1, students and teachers of the class with F0, if the sample has F0. If pooling is positive, proceed with immediate de-pooling by rapid antigen testing.

- If antigen rapid test result is positive: treat as in case of F0.

If the rapid antigen test result is negative:

(1) For the case that F1 has received a full dose of COVID-19 vaccine, the last dose given within at least 14 days or has recovered from COVID-19 within 03 months by the time it is determined to be F1(2): medical isolation for 5 days at home, testing (RT-PCR or rapid antigen) on day 5 by medical staff of the medical facility or self-isolated under the supervision of supervision by medical staff of a medical facility by at least one of the direct or indirect means through remote means. If the test results on day 5 are negative, students will go back to school directly, continue to self-monitor their health for the next 5 days, and strictly implement the 5K Message.

(2) For the case that F1 has not received the full dose of COVID-19 vaccine or has not been vaccinated against COVID-19: 07 days of medical isolation at home, testing (RT-PCR or rapid antigen) on on the 7th day performed by medical staff of medical facilities or self-isolated under the supervision of medical staff of medical facilities by at least one of direct or indirect methods through remote vehicles.
