A Men in Ha Nam, Vietnam are positive for SARS-CoV-2 after returning home from isolation

A men returned from Japan, SARS-CoV-2 negative after 2 weeks of quarantine concentrated in Vietnam, when he returning to the locality with a fever cough, tested positive again.

Mr.Truong Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of Ha Nam Department of Health, Vietnam, said that patient N.V.D., 28 years old, residing in Ly Nhan district had tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 for the first time at the Provincial Centers for Disease Control.

Currently, the local area is re-testing for the second time, at the same time sending the sample to the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for confirmation testing. Patient Đ. was transferred to Ha Nam General Hospital, Vietnam for isolation.

So far this morning, the authorities have identified 30 F1, 200 F2. F1 cases have been sent into quarantine.

Mr. D. returned from Japan to Vietnam on April 7 last after the expiration of the labor contract. After that, he was quarantined for 14 days at Alisia Beach Hotel in Da Nang.

The results of 3 tests on April 8, April 12 and April 21 were negative. On April 22, he returned to his local area, self-isolating at home.

On the morning of April 24th, his father D. went to the commune health station to report due to seeing his son showing cough, fever, sore throat. After that, the authorities came to collect samples for epidemiological investigation.
