On August 06, 2021, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Circular No. 06/2021/TT-BCT amendments to Circular No. 16/2014/TT-BCT prescribing electricity price.

The Circular No. 06/2021/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam amends some provisions on electricity price, for examples:
- Amending electricity retailers at industrial parks or industrial clusters to voltage-level based electricity price.
- Amending electricity retailers at industrial parks or industrial clusters to the time of day” based electricity price.
- Amending that electricity retailers at markets or industrial clusters must meet the requirements of the electricity wholesale price.
- Moreover, the Circular No. 06/2021/TT-BCT also eliminating the phrase “in charge of household registration" at:
a) Point c of clause 2 and point c of clause 6 of Article 12;
b) Point b of clause 2 and point c of clause 6 of Article 13;
c) Point c of clause 2 and point c of clause 5 of Article 14.
The Circular No. 06/2021/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam takes effect from September 25, 2021.
