From July 1, 2023, transport business cars in Vietnam must be equipped with dash cams to be granted badges

Decree 47/2022/ND-CP amends Decree 10/2020/ND- CP on transport business and conditions of transport business using automobile in which From July 1, 2023, transport business cars in Vietnam must have dash cams installed in order to be granted badges, signs.

Vietnam's Decree 47/2022/ND-CP adds the following provisions:

- From July 1, 2023, for transport business units using transport business cars that are required to install cameras according to the provisions of Vietnam's Decree 10/2020/ND-CP when participating in the transport business for the first time, they must install a cruise monitoring device with a built-in camera in order to be granted badges and signs.

- Cruise monitoring equipment with an integrated camera must fully meet the provisions of Vietnam's Decree 10/2020/ND-CP.

Thus, from July 1, 2023, all transport business cars in Vietnam are required to install dash cams in order to be granted badges and signs.

Decree 47/2022/ND-CP takes effect from September 1, 2022.
