HOT: Suspending medical declaration at Vietnam's border gates for people's entries from April 27, 2022

The Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 2118/BYT-DP on the suspension of medical declaration at border gates for COVID-19.

According to the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, the COVID-19 epidemic situation in Vietnam has been controlled nationwide with a high rate of COVID-19 vaccine coverage.

Based on the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic and Decree 89/2018/ND-CP, the Ministry of Health requests the People's Committee of the province/city to direct relevant agencies to suspend the application of medical declaration for COVID-19 at all border gates of Vietnam for people entering from 00:00 on April 27, 2022.

In addition, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam requested relevant agencies to maintain supervision of passengers on entry at border gates as prescribed in Decree 89/2018/ND-CP.

At the same time, proactively update communication materials and recommendations for COVID-19 prevention and control in accordance with the current situation and proactively report in a timely manner.

The Ministry of Health of Vietnam will continue to update and provide information on the epidemic situation in the world and in the country to enable it to take appropriate epidemic prevention measures.
