When and where do people receive compensation for land expropriation in Vietnam? ( Illustration)
* Clause 1 Article 93 of the Land Law 2013 stipulates that: Within 30 days after the decision on the land recovery by a competent state agency takes effect, agencies and organizations in charge of compensation shall pay compensation and support to people whose land is recovered in Vietnam.
* In addition, Point b, Clause 3, Article 69 of the Land Law 2013 of Vietnam stipulates:
The organization in charge of compensation and ground clearance in Vietnam shall coordinate with the commune-level People’s Committee:
To publicize and post up the decision on approval of the plans for compensation, support and resettlement at the commune-level People’s Committee offices and at common public places of the residential areas of which land is recovered.
The organization in Vietnam shall send the decision on compensation, support and resettlement to each person whose land is recovered and that decision will clearly show:
+ The level of compensation and support, arrangement of the resettlement land or house in Vietnam (if any)
+ Time and place of payment for compensation or support
+ Time to arrange resettlement land or house in Vietnam (if any)
+ Time to hand over the recovered land to the organization in charge of compensation and ground clearance;
Thus, the time and place for people to receive compensation and land expropriation assistance in Vietnam are specified in the decision on compensation, assistance and resettlement.
