With the theme "My Vietnam", WeChoice Awards returns, bringing inspiration that is both grand and intimate. Through a challenging 2024, our country witnessed somber days due to natural disasters and various pains and losses. Yet, it was in these darkest times that national solidarity became even more united. We shared, supported, warmed, and loved each other. Although 2024 brought some silent moments, it was precisely those times that kindled a warm flame in the hearts of every Vietnamese person.
Voting Rules for WeChoice Awards 2024:
Voting Period: From December 25, 2024, to 12:00 PM on January 12, 2025
Readers must verify their accounts and log in using Facebook/Google. For each nomination, readers can VOTE UP TO 24 TIMES/DAY (with intervals of 1 hour). One account can vote for multiple nominations across different categories.
Note:
- These rules are effective from the time they are posted on the wechoice.vn website.
- The Program's rules may be amended or supplemented without prior notice and will take effect from the time they are updated by the Organizing Committee on the wechoice.vn website.
- The Organizing Committee is the only entity with the right to make all final decisions related to any activities or events arising from the Program.
The Gala Night to honor and award WeChoice Awards 2024 will be held on January 12, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center - SECC (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City). The Gala Night will be livestreamed on the program's website (www.wechoice.vn) and the media channels of VCCorp & media partners.
According to Article 4 of Circular 08/2024/TT-BVHTTDL regarding the working principles of the Art Council in the field of performing arts:
- The Council operates on the principle of democratic centralism and makes decisions by the majority. If necessary, the Chairman of the Council may decide not to convene a Council meeting but to collect opinions from members in writing.
- Council members exercise their assigned rights and responsibilities and are accountable for their opinions. If a member of the Council is part of the creative team or has rights or interests related to the content of the performing arts activity, they shall not participate in advising on that activity.
- The Council meeting must have at least 2/3 of the total members present. The Council works through discussions, making decisions by voting or ballot. If the votes are equal, the decision is made by the Chairman of the Council (or the Vice-Chairman if authorized).
- The Council has a standing unit consisting of the Council Chairman or Vice-Chairman (when authorized by the Chairman) and 02 (two) members.
- The opinion ballots from Council members (as per Appendix No. 01 attached to Circular 08/2024/TT-BVHTTDL) are filed with the meeting documents of the Council. The records are kept at the competent state agency.
- The results of the Council meeting must have the agreement of at least 2/3 of the members and are recorded in the Minutes of the Council meeting (as per Appendices No. 02, 03, 04, and 05 attached to Circular 08/2024/TT-BVHTTDL).
- Annually, the Council meets to review its activities and reports the results to the agency that established the Council.
According to Article 3 of Circular 08/2024/TT-BVHTTDL regarding the functions and duties of the Art Council in the field of performing arts:
(1) Functions of the Council
To provide consultation to competent state agencies for decisions regarding performing arts activities.
(2) Duties of the Council
- Analyze, evaluate, and review performing arts activities using state budget funds when requested by the head of a competent state agency as per legal regulations;
- Analyze, evaluate, and review performing arts activities as requested by the head of a competent state agency managing performing arts activities as outlined in Decree 144/2020/ND-CP regarding performing arts activities.
