What are regulations on commendation and discipline for the Vietnam National Football Team?

Based on Article 8, Article 9 of the National Team Management Regulations issued alongside Decision 1377/2004/QD-UBTDTT stipulating the rewards and disciplinary actions for the Vietnam national sports teams in general, as well as the Vietnam National Football Team:

Rewards:

- The National Sports Training Center, localities, and sectors assigned by the Sports Committee to organize training sessions: reward national team members for adhering well to the living and training regulations, achieving good results during training.

- The Sports Committee awards national sports team members who achieve high performance in training and international competition and recommends the State to award athletes and coaches who achieve exceptionally high achievements in international competition.

- The Sports Committee considers and recommends the State to reward units, localities, and sectors that significantly contribute athletes and coaches achieving high results in training and international competition.

- The National Olympic Committee, National Federations, and Sports Associations consider rewarding or recommending international bodies like the International Olympic Committee to reward athletes and coaches achieving high results in international competitions.

- Rewarding national sports team members, and units or localities must be based on evaluations from competent organizations from the grassroots level upwards.

- Rewarding outstanding athletes must be conducted openly, ensuring fairness, democracy, and motivational encouragement.

Disciplinary Actions:

- National sports team members who violate the National Team Management Regulations issued alongside Decision 1377/2004/QD-UBTDTT will be handled depending on the nature and severity as follows:

+ Reprimand;

+ Warning;

+ Suspension of training and competition for a fixed period;

+ Termination of training and competition, with recovery of training expenses.

- Disciplinary proceedings for national sports team members must be conducted from the grassroots level, openly, democratically, and follow specific procedures and processes.

- Collective and individual disciplinary enforcement among national sports teams must fully adhere to prescribed procedures.

+ The National Sports Training Center considers and disciplines members violating living and training rules during training periods;

+ The Sports Committee considers and disciplines national sports team members who seriously violate living regulation and training, competition programs; those summoned who fail to report without justifiable reasons;

+ The National Olympic Committee, Federations, and National Sports Associations, based on duties and powers, recommend the Sports Committee disciplinary proceedings against athletes violating competition rules, regulations, international conventions according to regulations;

+ Legal violations, depending on the nature and severity, will be subject to administrative penalties or criminal prosecution as per law regulations.
