Managing a preschool is not a simple job. This job requires managers to equip themselves with many necessary skills, not only having to be ready to handle troublesome situations in all children's activities. Thus, preschool education also needs to ensure content and method requirements as prescribed in Article 24 of the Law on Education 2019 as follows:
- The content of preschool education must be consistent with the psychological and physiological development of children; harmony between protecting, caring for, nurturing, and educating children; Comprehensive development of physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and aesthetic skills; respect for differences; suitable for all ages; and connected to primary education.
- Preschool education methods are prescribed as follows:
+ Kindergarten education must create favorable conditions for children to be actively active, have fun, and create bonds between adults and children; Stimulates the development of senses, emotions, and psycho-physiological functions;
+ Kindergarten education must create conditions for children to play, experience, and explore the surrounding environment in many forms, meeting children's needs and interests.
Thus, preschool education methods in 2024 need to focus on creating a favorable and safe environment for children to play, experience, and explore the world around them. Methods such as stimulating the senses, exercising, and encouraging creativity and thinking must be given priority. The goal is to comprehensively develop children's physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills.
Activities in preschool education facilities will be managed through the following topics:
(1) Enrollment activities in preschool educational establishments
- Educational institutions enroll students according to the requirements of universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children, implementing compulsory education for primary education, and requiring universalizing lower secondary education according to the regulations of the Law.
