- Tourism product: is a set of services based on exploiting the value of tourism resources to meet the needs of tourists.
- Community tourism accommodation establishment: is a place that provides accommodation services for tourists in the community tourism area.
- Community tourism food service establishment: is a place that provides food services for tourists in the community tourism area.
- Community tourism service business unit: is a unit qualified to operate travel services according to the provisions of law, bringing tourists to community tourism areas and performing the following two specific functions:
+ Protect the natural and cultural sustainability of the community tourism area;
+ Support the economic and social development of communities and localities; has committed to complying with the Code of Conduct for community tourism service businesses.
- Community tourism destination: is a place where tourism resources are invested and exploited to serve tourists.
- Community tourism guide: Be a member of the community with a tour guide card at a community tourism site in accordance with the law, providing information, connecting services, leading tourists, and supporting tourists in using services according to the tour program.
- Traditional cultural and artistic performances: performed by community members, introducing traditional rituals, customs, and arts with unique cultural features to serve the needs of tourists in the community tourism area.
- Code of conduct: are standard regulations to guide the behavior, attitudes, habits, and civilized behavior of stakeholders in community tourism.
- Community tourism management board: is a community tourism management and operation unit consisting of government representatives, local organizations, and community members; has the functions, tasks, and powers to organize and manage tourism activities at the community tourism site according to the provisions of law.
TCVN 13259:2020 stipulates that local communities need to comply with the content of the code of conduct as prescribed:
- Be polite, speak good words, have nice gestures, and be friendly with tourists.
- Enthusiastically guide and help tourists when requested.
- Line up in order, do not jostle or push when using services or participating in activities in public places.
- Respect, help, give priority, and give way to tourists.
- Use polite, appropriate clothing.
- Be conscious and responsible for protecting the landscape and environment; maintain hygiene in residential and public places, respond to social movements on environmental protection.
- Comply with regulations, signs, and signs at tourist areas and destinations.
- Preserve the community's national cultural identity.
- Maintain a courteous and polite attitude when solving problems for tourists.
- Do not "manipulate" or stalk tourists.
- Do not use vulgar, uncivilized words, gestures, behavior, teasing, or rude actions towards tourists.
