What are the regulations on Vietnam Trade Union logo model?

1. Introduction to Vietnam Trade Union

Vietnam Trade Union is a large socio-political organization of the working class and workers, established on a voluntary basis; is a member of the political system of Vietnamese society, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam;

Vietnam Trade Union represents workers, together with state agencies, economic organizations, and social organizations, to care for and protect the legal and legitimate rights and interests of workers.

The Vietnam Trade Union has the task of participating in state management, socio-economic management, inspection, examination, and supervision of the activities of state agencies, organizations, units, and enterprises. At the same time, propagate and mobilize workers to study and improve their qualifications and professional skills, obey the law, and build and protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

2. What are the regulations on Vietnam Trade Union logo model?

- Currently, the union logo model is used uniformly at all levels of Trade Unions as prescribed in Decision No. 174/QD-TLD 2020 as follows:

+ The industrial toothed wheel has 13 unobscured black teeth, placed in the center of the globe, above the industrial toothed wheel, with the Vietnamese National Flag in the middle.

+ Black caliper placed inside the industrial toothed wheel, on a blue background.

+ The white book is placed in the middle, in front, below the industrial gear wheel.

+ The entire large circle has a metallic yellow background, white longitude and latitude lines.

+ Below is a stylized worker's blue silk ribbon, inside the ribbon is the word "CĐVN".

3. Cases of using the union logo in Vietnam

According to Section 1 of Instruction 03/HD-TLD 2020, the following cases are required to use the Trade Union Badge:

+ Trade union congresses and conferences at all levels;

+ Union member admission ceremony, trade union establishment ceremony, traditional day celebration of the Vietnam Trade Union organization;

+ Headquarters or workplaces of trade unions at all levels. If there is no headquarters, it should be hung in the office of the union president;

+ Documents printed into the books of trade unions at all levels;

+ Trade union membership card;

+ Works, products, and costumes identifying the Vietnam Trade Union.

4. Vietnam Trade Union organizational system

The system of trade union organizations at all levels is specified in Article 7 of Decision 174/QD-TLD 2020 as follows:

(1) Central level: Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (hereinafter referred to as the General Confederation);

(2) Provincial and central sector levels include: Labor Federation of provinces and centrally run cities; the Central Industry Union; and the equivalent.

(3) Direct superiors at the grassroots level include:

+ Labor federations of districts, towns, and provincial cities (hereinafter collectively referred to as district-level labor federations);

+ Local industry union;

+ Trade unions of industrial parks, export processing zones, economic zones, and high-tech zones (hereinafter collectively referred to as trade unions of industrial zones);

+ Corporation unions;

+ Direct superior trade unions at other establishments.

(4) Grassroots level includes: Grassroots trade unions, grassroots trade unions (hereinafter collectively referred to as grassroots trade unions).

5. Procedures for joining Vietnam trade union

- Procedures for joining Vietnam trade unions are carried out according to Article 3 of Decision 174/QD-TLD 2020 as follows:

+ Workers who voluntarily apply to join the Vietnam Trade Union. The Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union and the grassroots trade union consider and decide whether to recognize or admit trade union members

+ For places where there is no trade union organization, workers apply to join the Vietnam Trade Union through the campaign committee to establish a grassroots union, or apply to a superior trade union.
to be considered for joining the Vietnam Trade Union.

+ If union members have left the trade union, if they continue to wish to join the Vietnam Trade Union, they must submit an application to rejoin the trade union, which will be considered and re-admitted by the superior trade union.
