The central budget of Vietnam supports locality with 100% of the cost of housing rental support for employees

Accordingto the Decision, the central budget provides targeted support to localities with 100% of state budget funds to implement the policy of housing rent support for employees according to the provisions of Decision 08/2022/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2022 .

If the state budget funding for implementing the policy exceeds the amount of funding needs that each locality has reviewed and reported to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; localities must use local budgets and lawful resources as prescribed to pay employees according to the subjects and support levels specified in Decision 08/2022/QD-TTg.

If the local budget balance is difficult and does not have enough resources to perform, the locality shall report it to the Ministry of Finance for summarization and to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.

In addition, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs is responsible for:

- Organizing the implementation of tasks in accordance with Clause 1, Article 13 of Decision No. 08/2022/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2022 by the Prime Minister of Vietnam.

- Assuming the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant agencies in, specifically inspecting the arrangement and payment of housing rental support funds for employees according to Decision 08/2022/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2022.

- Guiding, monitoring, checking, synthesizing and reporting data (objects, needs of state budget funding for policy implementation) of localities, ensuring that the source does not exceed 6.6 trillion VND. The power of the central budget was decided in Resolution 43/2022/QH15 and Resolution 521/NQ-UBTVQH15.
