(1) Points are deducted from the driver license immediately after the administrative violation penalty decision that involves point deduction under Decree 168/2024/ND-CP comes into effect;

(2) In cases where an individual commits multiple administrative violations or repeated violations penalized in one instance, if there are 2 or more violations involving point deduction, points are only deducted for the violation with the highest point deduction;

(3) If the remaining points on the driver license are fewer than the points to be deducted, all remaining points on the license shall be deducted;

(4) If the driver license combines both indefinite (motorcycles and similar vehicles) and definite period licenses (cars and similar vehicles, four-wheeled motorized passenger and cargo vehicles), the authority imposes point deductions based on the indefinite license for motorcycle violations, and on the definite license for car violations, where point deduction is stipulated;

(5) No points are deducted if the driver license is currently under suspension of use.
