Code, standards for professional titles of rank III bus station manager in Vietnam from March 1, 2025

On December 31, 2024, the Minister of Transport of Vietnam issued Circular 66/2024/TT-BGTVT stipulating the codes and standards for public employee position titles in the field of bus station management, transit transport management, vehicle weight inspection, traffic infrastructure management and maintenance, and public transport operation and exploitation.

Article 2 of Circular 66/2024/TT-BGTVT stipulates the job title codes for public employees of rank III bus station manager as follows:

Article 2. Job Title Codes for Public Employees in Specialized Fields

1. Job titles for public employees in the field of bus station management:

a) Rank III bus station manager Code: V.12.24.03

b) Rank IV bus station manager Code: V.12.24.04

2. Job titles for public employees in the field of transit transport management:

a) Rank III transit transport manager Code: V.12.25.03

b) Rank IV transit transport manager Code: V.12.25.04

3. Job titles for public employees in the field of vehicle weight inspection:

a) Rank III vehicle weight inspector Code: V.12.26.03

b) Rank IV vehicle weight inspector Code: V.12.26.04

Thus, according to the above regulations, the job title code for public employees in the field of rank III bus station manager is V.12.24.03.

Standards for rank III bus station manager from March 1, 2025 in Vietnam

According to the provisions in Article 4 of Circular 66/2024/TT-BGTVT regarding the requirements for education, training, and professional capacity for rank III bus station manager :

Article 4. Rank III bus station manager - Code: V.12.24.03

2. Standards for education and training:

a) Hold a university degree or higher in a major suitable for the job position requirements;

b) Possess a training certificate according to the standards for public employee position titles in the field of bus station management.

3. Standards for professional capacity and expertise:

a) Be well-versed in the guidelines, policies of the Communist Party and the State, legal regulations, and responsibilities of the transportation sector; have specialized knowledge in bus station management;

b) Have understanding in developing, applying, and implementing technology within the assigned duties;

c) Master the professional skills in bus station management, understand the methods for organizing and executing assigned tasks; know the procedures for developing plans and strategies;

d) Possess analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills related to professional tasks;

e) Have basic IT skills and be able to use a foreign language or a minority language for public employees working in minority regions as required by the job position.

Thus, from March 1, 2025, the standards for the rank III bus station manager job title require candidates to have a university degree or higher in a relevant major, along with a training certificate according to the standards for public employee position titles in the field of bus station management.

Additionally, holders of this job title must be well-versed in the policies of the Communist Party and the State, have knowledge of bus station management, analytical skills, and basic IT skills. They must also be capable of using a foreign language or a minority language if working in minority regions.

What are tasks of rank III bus station nanagers in Vietnam?

According to Article 4 of Circular 66/2024/TT-BGTVT, the tasks for rank III bus station manager are stipulated as follows:

- Participate in developing plans and specific professional procedures within the assigned duties;

- Participate in research, propose guidelines, policies, directions, development plans, and technology applications within the assigned duties;

- Participate in implementing themes, proposals, projects, and scientific and technological programs related to the functions and duties of the public service provider in bus station management;

- Research and resolve or advise competent authorities to resolve specific issues related to the assigned field; propose measures to improve management efficiency in the assigned field;

- Carry out professional activities in the field of bus station management; participate in drafting internal regulations;

- Guide, monitor, urge, participate in inspection, statistics, and collect information and data on relevant issues within the assigned duties;

- Perform other tasks assigned by competent authorities.
