Amendments of educational level standards in admissions of military schools in Vietnam

As prescribed in Circular 51/2022/TT-BQP, in order to apply for admission to military schools, candidates must meet the following educational level standards:

By the time of admission, they should have graduated from high school (in the form of formal education or continuing education).

(Circular 59/2021/TT-BQP stipulates the following educational level standards as follows:

They must have graduated from high school (in the form of formal education or continuing education) or have an intermediate level at the time of admission.

Those who have graduated from intermediate education but have not yet obtained a high school diploma, shall study and be recognized for completing high school educational subjects in accordance with the law.

In addition, the Circular also changes the method of registration for admission to military university training as follows:

To apply for the first round, candidates register their aspirations for admission to military university training on the system (via the Portal for Admission Information of the Ministry of Education and Training or the Vietnam’s National Public Service Portal) in accordance with the general plan and guidelines from the Ministry of Education and Training. Candidates must pay the registration fee in accordance with the regulations of the enrollment school. In the entrance exams after the first round, candidates register for admission and pay fees in accordance with the regulations of the enrollment school.

Circular 59/2021/TT-BQP stipulates enrollment registration as follows: For the first round of admissions, candidates who apply for admission to military university training can only choose one of the following methods: Register directly with the Form of Registration for Exam and Admission, or register online in accordance with the instructions of the Department of Education and Training and pay the enrollment registration fee.
