Sample essay on one thing you want to change for a better life

One thing I want to change for a better life is to raise awareness and action towards environmental protection. In today's society, environmental pollution, the destruction of nature, and climate change are severe issues affecting our quality of life. I believe that if each person in the community changes their living habits and begins to take action for the environment, we can improve the situation and build a healthier, more sustainable life.

Firstly, reducing plastic waste is one of the essential steps. Plastic does not decompose for hundreds of years, causing severe pollution to soil, water, and air. I hope everyone becomes more conscious of using environmentally friendly products such as cloth bags instead of plastic bags, using reusable water bottles instead of single-use plastic bottles, and limiting the use of unnecessary plastic items. These small actions, if widely practiced, will help reduce the amount of plastic waste in daily life.

Secondly, I hope each person, family, and community actively participates in planting trees and protecting nature. Planting trees not only improves air quality but also beautifies the environment. Green trees also play a crucial role in protecting flora and fauna and maintaining ecological balance. If everyone plants one tree a year, millions of trees will be planted, contributing to a healthier living space.

Finally, I hope that everyone recognizes the importance of energy conservation and natural resource protection. Using renewable energy, and minimizing the waste of electricity, water, and other resources will help protect the planet and reduce negative impacts on the environment. Small actions such as turning off lights when not in use, fixing energy-consuming devices, or using public transportation instead of personal vehicles will contribute to reducing pollution and protecting the Earth.

In summary, I believe that if each of us changes our living habits, joining hands to protect the environment, life will become better, not only for ourselves but also for future generations.
