What are the conditions for primary students to skip a grade in Vietnam?
Based on point e, clause 1, Article 35 of the Primary School Regulations issued with Circular 28/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulating the rights of primary students:

e) Students who are physically fit and show intellectual advancement may skip grades within their academic level. The review process for each specific case is carried out as follows:
Parents or guardians of students submit a request to the school.
The school principal establishes a survey and advisory council, consisting of: the principal or vice-principal, and the parents’ representative committee; the current teacher, the teacher of the next grade, healthcare staff, and the chief of youth activities.
Based on the survey results from the advisory council, the principal completes the dossier and reports to the head of the Department of Education and Training for consideration and decision.

Thus, primary students may be eligible to skip a grade if they meet the following conditions:
- Physically fit and show early intellectual development.
- Have a decision granting permission to skip a grade from the head of the Department of Education and Training.
What are forms of rewards for outstanding primary students in Vietnam?
Based on clause 1, Article 13 of the Regulations on assessment of primary students issued with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulating the rewards for primary students:
Rewards
- The principal awards certificates to students:
a) End-of-year awards:
- Reward the title of Outstanding Student for those who achieve an Excellent overall evaluation;
- Reward the title of Exemplary Student for those with a good overall evaluation, with outstanding achievements in at least one subject or significant advancement in at least one competency or character, approved by the class.
b) Extraordinary awards: for students with extraordinary achievements during the school year.
- Students with special achievements may be considered by the school for nominations to higher authorities for rewards.
- Managers and teachers can send letters of commendation to students for achievements, effort in learning, and developing competencies or good deeds.
Thus, outstanding primary students may be rewarded in the following ways:
- Rewarded as Outstanding Students.
- Considered by the school for nominations to higher authorities for rewards.
- Letters of commendation from managers and teachers.
