The homeroom teacher’s logbook is one of the necessary documents for class teachers at the beginning of the new academic year 2024-2025.

Based on Article 21 of the Regulation on lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools, and multi-level schools, issued together with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT:

System of records for managing educational activities

The system of records for managing educational activities in schools includes:

1. For the school:

a) Registration book.

b) Student records.

c) Student tracking and evaluation book (by class).

d) Educational records for students with disabilities (if any).

e) Annual educational plan of the school.

f) Lesson note book.

g) Diploma and certificate management book.

h) Management and archiving book of incoming and outgoing documents.

i) Educational equipment and library management records.

k) Asset and financial management records.

l) Staff, teacher, and employee evaluation records.

m) Student health monitoring records.

n) Student reward and discipline records.

o) Education universalization records (for lower secondary school level).

2. For the professional groups:

a) Annual educational plan of the professional group.

b) Minutes of professional activities.

3. For the teachers:

a) Annual educational plan of the teacher.

b) Teaching plans (lesson plans).

c) Student tracking and evaluation book.

d) Homeroom teacher’s logbook (for teachers performing class teacher duties).

4. The records specified in clauses 1, 2, and 3 of this Article, in electronic format, may replace paper records according to a roadmap suitable to local conditions, the school, the ability of teachers, and ensuring the legality of electronic records. The management of electronic records is regulated by the Department of Education and Training according to the connection standards and data standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

5. The preservation of educational activity management records of the school shall comply with legal regulations.

Based on the above regulations, the system of educational activity management records for teachers includes:

{1} The teacher's annual educational plan.

{2} Teaching plans (lesson plans).

{3} Student tracking and evaluation book.

{4} Homeroom teacher’s logbook (for teachers performing class teacher duties).

Therefore, it is noted that the homeroom teacher’s logbook is only for teachers who are performing class teacher duties.
