(11) Phu Quy (Binh Thuan)

Phu Quy Island is an island district under Binh Thuan province, Vietnam.

(12) Con Dao (Ba Ria - Vung Tau)

- Shape the character of citizenship, ready to contribute to the construction and defense of the Fatherland.

What are the required outcomes regarding the geographic learning competence of 10th-grade students in Vietnam?

Under Section 4 of the General education program in Geography issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the required outcomes regarding the geographic learning competence of 10th-grade students in Vietnam are as follows:

(1) Utilize geographic learning tools

Search for and select information from documents appropriate to the content, research topic; use geographic pictures and images to describe geographical phenomena and processes; compile an image collection (both paper and digital formats).

- Read maps to extract necessary information and knowledge; utilize supplementary information sources (charts, photographs, etc.) from maps, atlases; interpret terrain sections; use some common maps in practice.

- Perform simple calculations (calculate per capita GDP, economic growth rates, etc.); analyze and interpret statistical tables; construct statistical tables with structures suitable for data analysis; draw various types of charts to illustrate dynamics, structures, scales, etc., of geographical objects from provided data.

- Analyze and explain charts; understand geographic diagrams and models.

(2) Organize field study learning

- Develop a plan for field study learning; use necessary skills to collect primary data in the field: observe, take measurements, photograph the field, conduct interviews, draw sketches, diagrams, etc., and present the information collected from the field.

(3) Exploit the Internet to support the subject

- Search for, gather, filter, and systematize necessary geographical information from websites; evaluate and utilize information in learning and practice.
