Do students in Vietnam have a day off for the Mid-Autumn Festival?
Currently, there is no specific regulation that grants students a holiday on the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Additionally, based on Article 112 of the Labor Code 2019, the public holiday is stated as follows:
Public holiday
1. Employees are entitled to take paid leave on the following holidays and festivals:
a) Gregorian New Year: 01 day (January 1);
b) Lunar New Year: 05 days;
c) Victory Day: 01 day (April 30);
d) International Labor Day: 01 day (May 1);
dd) National Day: 02 days (September 2 and 01 adjacent day before or after);
e) Hung Kings' Commemoration Day: 01 day (March 10 of the lunar calendar).
2. Foreign employees working in Vietnam are entitled to an additional day off for their traditional New Year and one for their national day, in addition to the holidays stated in Clause 1 of this Article.
3. Annually, considering actual conditions, the Prime Minister decides specific days off for the holidays stipulated in Points b and dd, Clause 1 of this Article.

Since students typically follow the holiday schedule of teachers, and according to the aforementioned regulations, teachers do not get a holiday for the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2024, it means that students do not get a holiday on the Mid-Autumn Festival.
