Educational Levels and Ages of General Education

1. The educational levels and ages of general education are stipulated as follows:

a) Primary education is conducted in 05 school years, from grade one to the end of grade five. The age of students entering grade one is 06 years, calculated according to the year;

Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 1 of the 2022 Charter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the admission of members of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is conducted according to the following steps and procedures:

- The youth voluntarily writes an application, reports their background, and is introduced and guaranteed by one of the following entities or individuals:

+ An active member who has worked together or socialized for at least three months.

+ A collective of the Vietnam Youth Union (if the person is a member of the Vietnam Youth Union).

+ The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Union (if the person is a member of the Vietnam Student Union).

+ A collective of the Young Pioneer Organization (if the person is a member of the Young Pioneer Organization).

- The branch union meeting agrees to the admission by a majority vote of more than half (1/2) of the members present at the meeting, and the superior Union issues a decision on the admission. If considering multiple admissions, each candidate must be considered and decided individually.

- In places without Union organization and members or without Vietnam Youth Union, Vietnam Student Union organization, the superior Union assigns officials, members to develop membership, or a party member who has worked or socialized for at least three months introduces and guarantees; the superior Union's Executive Committee directly considers and decides on the admission.

What are the duties of members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 2 of the 2022 Charter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Union members have the following duties:

- Always strive for the ideals of the Vietnam Communist Party and President Ho Chi Minh. Actively study, work, train, participate in social activities, and build and defend the Fatherland.

- Exemplarily comply with and mobilize young people to implement the guidelines and policies of the Vietnam Communist Party, policies, and laws of the State. Participate in building, protecting the Party, the government, and mass organizations. Abide by the Union's Charter and resolutions; actively propagate the Union organization among the youth; participate in Union activities and pay Union fees conformably.
