Under Plan 376/KH-UBND of 2024 regarding the organization of fireworks displays in Hanoi for the Lunar New Year 2025 in the Capital, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays from 12:00 AM to 12:15 AM on January 29, 2025, precisely on New Year's Eve.
The city will organize fireworks displays at a total of 31 venues, including 10 high-altitude combined with low-altitude sites and 21 low-altitude sites. Prominent high-altitude venues in the central area include: In front of Hanoi Moi Newspaper Headquarters, Hanoi Post Office (Hoan Kiem District), Lac Long Quan Flower Garden (Tay Ho District), and Hoa Binh Park (Bac Tu Liem District). Additionally, there will be sites in districts such as Ho Van Quan (Ha Dong), Son Tay Ancient Citadel (Son Tay Town), and Dong Anh Sports Center.
The low-altitude fireworks venues will be widely organized across 21 other districts, such as Ho Den Lu Park (Hoang Mai), Xa Dan Lake (Dong Da), Cau Giay Park (Cau Giay), and districts like Thach That, My Duc, Soc Son. The fireworks in all venues in Hanoi will simultaneously take place for 15 minutes, creating a meaningful moment to welcome the new year of the Snake 2025.

In Official Dispatch 8258/BGDDT-GDCTHSSV of 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training requires the departments of education and training; parent universities, academies, universities, and pedagogical schools to thoroughly implement the following content:

a) Enhance the propaganda and education for students to adopt a civilized lifestyle, maintain social order, improve skills on accident and injury prevention, avoid social vices, ensure security order, and school safety. Raise awareness and responsibility for self-prevention against the methods and approaches of various types of crime, especially crimes operating in cyberspace, black credit crimes, asset misappropriation crimes, social vices, gambling, football betting, commercial fraud, public disturbance, and resistance against law enforcement officers during the Lunar New Year.
b) Ensure shifts and protect agencies, guarantee absolute safety of physical facilities, prevent and combat fire and explosion during the New Year holiday; carry out propaganda and education for students, strictly prohibit students from participating in the production, purchase, sale, transportation, storage, and illegal use of weapons, explosives, support tools, and explosive fireworks. Comply with regulations and conditions to ensure fire and explosion prevention. Have solutions to guarantee the 2024 - 2025 academic year plan after the Lunar New Year holiday.

When is the 2024-2025 academic year in Vietnam expected to end?
Under Article 1 of Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT 2024:
Issuance of the framework for the 2024-2025 academic year plan for preschool, general education, and continuing education nationwide:
1. The earliest school opening date is set 1 week before the official commencement ceremony. For first graders, the earliest start date is 2 weeks prior to the commencement ceremony.
2. The commencement ceremony is organized on September 05, 2024.
3. The first semester ends before January 18, 2025, and the academic year is completed before May 31, 2025.
4. The recognition of completion of primary education and graduation from lower secondary education is conducted before June 30, 2025.
5. Enrollment for the first grades of all educational levels is completed before July 31, 2025.
6. The national high school exam 2025 is scheduled to take place on June 26 and June 27, 2025.
7. Other national-level exams are organized as per the Ministry of Education and Training’s guidelines and regulations.
Thus, the 2024-2025 academic year is expected to end before May 31, 2025.

Principles for praparing the academic year time plan of localities
- The academic year time plan of localities must ensure 35 weeks of actual study (Semester 1 has 18 weeks, Semester 2 has 17 weeks).
- The academic year time plan must be suitable to the characteristics and actual conditions of the locality.
- Holidays and New Year holidays are implemented according to the Labor Code and annual guidance documents.
- Teachers' annual leave is taken during the summer holiday or may be arranged flexibly at other times during the year to align with the specific characteristics and academic year time plan of the locality.
- The academic year time plan must ensure coherence across educational levels in a residential area, especially in general schools with multiple educational levels.
The 2024 - 2025 academic year must ensure 35 weeks of the actual study, with Semester 1 having 18 weeks and Semester 2 having 17 weeks.
